This is a much shorter version, with slight modifications, of an article I am currently writing. // January 5, 2011

Difference #1 – Jesus Christ loves the little children. Many Roman Catholic priests seduce and rape the little children. (Please read the book, “Lucifer’s Lodge”, by Roman Catholic author William H. Kennedy.)

Difference #2 – Jesus Christ treated women with dignity. Many Roman Catholic priests seduce teenage girls and women in the confessional. (Read “The Priest, The Woman, and The Confessional” by Charles Chiniquy.)

Difference #3 – Jesus Christ loves – and often quoted – the Holy Scriptures (i.e., the Old Testament). Many Roman Catholic priests throughout history have placed their “tradition” above the clear teachings of the Holy Bible (both Old and New Testaments). Many Roman Catholic priests throughout history have burned copies of the true Holy Bible. (Read “Did the Catholic Church Give Us the Bible?” by David W. Daniels and “Rome and the Bible” by David Cloud.) (Order the 3-hour color DVD, “A Lamp in the Dark”, by calling 1-888-780-5049.)

Difference #4 – Jesus Christ loves the Jewish people, and came to planet Earth to save both Jews and Gentiles. Many Roman Catholic priests – including many popes – throughout history have hated and horribly persecuted the Jewish people. (Please read the book, “The Popes Against the Jews”, by David I. Kertzer.)

Difference #5 – Jesus Christ displayed great humility during His earthly ministry of approximately 3½ years. Over the centuries many high-level Roman Catholic priests – especially popes – have displayed great pride and haughtiness. For example, a number of popes have called themselves “god” on planet Earth!

Difference #6 – Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry did not have great wealth, magnificent possessions, or professional servants. Yet many high-level Roman Catholic priests – especially popes – have had great wealth, magnificent possessions (e.g., mansions), and numerous professional servants. Many popes have lived in luxury far exceeding that of kings and emperors! (Read “Vicars of Christ” by Roman Catholic author Peter De Rosa.)

Difference #7 – Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry did not rule over an earthly kingdom. Yet over the centuries the highest-level Roman Catholic priests, i.e., the popes, have ruled over earthly kingdoms. For centuries the popes ruled despotically over the Papal States (a former territory in central and north central Italy). Popes ruled despotically over the kings and emperors of Europe for over 1000 years, crowning and dethroning them pretty much as they desired. Today we find the pope ruling over the Vatican State. (The Vatican State is a geopolitical entity that has diplomatic relations with many nations of the world.)

Difference #8 – Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry did not torture or murder any human being made in the image of God – nor did He command His disciples to do so. Yet many Roman Catholic priests – including many popes – have brutally tortured and murdered human beings made in God’s image or commanded others to do so! During the period of the Inquisition, up to 50 million people were murdered on orders from the Roman Catholic Church-State! (View the DVD, “The Inquisition”, by Richard Bennett: www.bereanbeacon.org.)

Difference #9 – Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry did not try to forcibly convert anyone. Yet over the centuries many Roman Catholic priests have attempted to forcibly convert – or have forcibly convertedmany individuals. And many popes have commanded priests to forcibly convert individuals – even by the sword!

Difference #10 – Jesus Christ never enslaved any individual. Yet over the centuries Roman Catholic priests have enslaved many individuals. Many of the natives in Latin America were enslaved by their masters, the Roman Catholic priests. (For example, Roman Catholic Jesuit priests in Paraguay, in the 17th and 18th centuries, enslaved and exploited the Guarani Indians, placing them in Communist-style communes called Reductions.)

The above is only a sampling of the major differences between Jesus Christ (the Son of God) and the priests and popes of the Roman Catholic Church-State, who “claim” to represent Him. What a vivid contrast!
